The Torbay Adult treatment joint commissioning group has responsibility for commissioning adult treatment services within Torbay in line with national and local targets relevant to the group and local identified need. The group is informed through the Adult treatment sub-group which has responsibility for developing the overall annual treatment plan. Services are commissioned against a number of income streams including Dept of Health, Home Office, Torbay Care Trust, Probation, etc

Membership of this group comprises of organisations that contribute funding to the overall treatment agenda. Presentations by providers maybe invited to enhance the decision making and awareness.

The group has a Terms of Reference describing why it meets and records or ‘minutes’ are kept summarising each meeting and any action that was agreed to be taken forward by the group.
