Executive Group
The Executive
Strategy Group meets on a bi-annual basis and has the remit to provide:
Strategy leadership (of the combined
agenda of crime and disorder reduction, drug and alcohol action
teams and youth offending services)
Ensure 'buy in' from key stakeholders
Make decisions if there is an impasse at Partnership management
group level
Agree terms of reference of Partnership management group.
For a more detailed understanding of Safer Communities' Executive
group please read the group's terms of reference.
It is felt that a role for the Executive
strategy group in the future must be to determine the appropriate
lovel of leadership and 'buy in' from key stakeholders as the Torbay
Strategic Partnership evolves.
The Partnership management group
feels that the current remit of the Executive group could and should
be taken on board over time by the Torbay Strategic Partnership.
It is felt this would then minimise bureaucracy, provided capacity
and legal issues were resolved. The Partnership management group
however, recommends that the current Executive group should continue
for the immediate future.
