Plan your parking

When planning your evening if you’re not sure where to park, Torbay Council have a dedicated parking webpage with details about car park locations and charges.

Some council car parks close at night so remember to check first, and don’t leave any valuables on display.

Cash

If you’re planning a night out, take enough cash with you. If you do need to use a cash machine at night, try to find one in a well lit area. If you see someone hanging around a cash point or you feel uncomfortable in any way, listen to your instincts and find an alternative machine.

Stop. Think. Don’t drink and drive.

If you are going out in Torbay and you plan on having a drink, think about how you’re going to get home. You could nominate a designated driver, ask someone to pick you up, book a licensed taxi, or use other public transport. There is never an excuse for drink driving.
