When we have considered your views we will work out the most appropriate way to deal with your comments and this may include:

• Referring an issue to an agency for action and response.
• Referring an issue to a range of agencies for action and response.
• Submitting an issue to our Locality Tasking Group for action and response.

Often it does take more than one agency to deal with community safety issues so please note that we will share your correspondence with others in order to try and resolve things.

If after considering your views we decide that we can’t take any action, we will contact you to tell you why so that you know you haven’t been ignored.

Get involved

At Safer Communities Torbay we appreciate that solving local community safety issues can only be achieved with the help and support of local people.

We know that different people communicate in different ways so to make sure that we are engaging with our residents using the right methods, we’re looking for some volunteers to help us.

There are other ways that you can get involved with tackling crime and improving community safety including:

• Become a Special Constable.
• Join a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.
• Volunteer with the police.
• Join the police cadet scheme (for those aged between 13 and 18).
