Campaign Archive

Campaign archive

At Safer Communities Torbay, we want all of the campaigns we run to make a difference to local people. In our campaign archive you can find out more about some of the work we’ve done in the past, but we’d really like to know what you think we should be looking at in the future.

If you’ve got an idea for a community safety campaign or if you’re looking to run your own campaign and would like to talk to us about it, please email us at scatt@torbay.gov.uk or telephone 01803 841354.

Know the Code

Too much alcohol can make people vulnerable. Know the Code raised awareness about alcohol and encouraged people to have fun, drink responsibly and stay safe.

Anti-Social Behaviour

Nobody should have to live with anti-social behaviour. Safer Communities Torbay ran a campaign to encourage residents to report the people responsible for it.

Street Begging

Street Begging is a difficult issue. It can be unpleasant for residents and visitors, and it’s bad for local businesses. Many people who do beg need support to help them change their lives for the better. If you’re interested, find out more about our campaign.

You Said We Did

Asking people what they think about community safety issues isn’t enough. Action is required. The You Said We Did campaign did just that. We asked (you said), we took action (we did) and we spread the word about the results.

A New Vintage

The You Said We Did campaign revealed that many people over 50 in Torbay and many younger people, had negative perceptions of each other. Safer Communities Torbay launched a campaign to bring the generations closer together to talk, to work together and to challenge some of stereotypes.
